For 2021, adidas Yeezy is putting back a number of old classics. Following the re-release of the 700 v2 “Cream” this past weekend, the company is gearing up for the return of the Yeezy Desert Boot, which was last seen two years ago. The model is clad in a colorway called “Taupe Blue,” which incorporates retro hues and light blue soles.
Many of the same components are used as in previous versions. Mesh is used to dress the base, which is dark brown in colour. Layers of tan and slate compliment each other in leather and suede, respectively. The latter is used to dress the counter, as well as the eyestays and laces, whilst the former is used to represent beneath. The toe cap and mudguard, on the other side, differ by a small amount, being tinted in a less saturated cream. Behind, the rubberized tooling steals the show by completely concealing itself in a saturated blue.
