The Florida-based sneaker boutique headed by Michael’s own son Marcus, Trophy Space, has another partnership with Air Jordan in the works. While relatively young in the footwear boutique landscape, Trophy Room has enjoyed some preferential treatment on the collab front, understandably. This upcoming Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, scheduled for last year’s late fall, has drawn the attention of many, Especially for its “Chicago”-esque colorway blocking, many Jordan fans have caught the attention of many Jordan fans, but there are many nuanced touches that make this Trophy Room’s best idea yet.
This Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG is packed with aged information such as the yellow-treated midsoles and the throwback-style logo patch stitched on the insoles, believed to be inspired by the 1985 NBA All-Star Game in Indiana. Four stars in contrasting blue and red, a detail seen on the All-Star jerseys of that game, are seen through the opaque rubber sole. Finally, it is possible to base the insignia of Michael Jordan on the heels of both shoes. In the meantime, the “Chicago” upper style sees white contrast stitching with shimmering panels that refer to the classic mid-season allure.
The 2021 NBA All-Star Game was originally scheduled to take place in Indiana, and it is clear that this release was supposed to relate back to1985, the original year of the Air Jordan1. But with the All-Star Game effectively cancelled due toCOVID-19, it is not clear if the rumored release of the Trophy Room Air Jordan 1s in February will still occur, although the surfacing of these official photos suggest that a drop is soon. Further rendering these more irresistible is the fact that these may be limited to just 12,000 pairs. For now, enjoy a detailed look and stay tuned for updates.
