Since over 20 people drowned in the Apam harbor, the Apam community has been plunged into mourning.
DSP Moses Osakono, the area’s District Police Commander, reported the report and said that about 8 bodies had been recovered from the sea so far.
Any residents of the area say that those who drowned went to the beach to swim.
However, DSP Osakono stated that the area where the incident occurred had been closed to the public after the Coronavirus outbreak.
